Heaven
Lake Press publish books across a wide variety
of categories.
Our
goal is to publish books that entertain, inform and provoke
thought, debate and discussion. We want to expand the knowledge
and information about culture in Southeast Asia through novels
and non-fiction books. The region has an infinite number of
stories and folklore that is largely unknown elsewhere.
To
submit a book proposal for a non-fiction book,
send us the following information:
- An
outline indicating the nature and scope of each chapter
- One
sample chapters
- Photocopies
of any photographs or illustrations you believe might
assist us in evaluating your proposal
- A
description of audience you believe will buy the book
- A
brief summary of similar or competitive books
- An
explanation of why your book is unique
- The
anticipated length of the manuscript in terms of number
of words
- A
brief autobiographical resume
- Your
complete address, daytime phone number, and e-mail address
To
submit a novel or other fiction, send us
the following information:
- We
currently are not accepting novels or other fiction at
this time.
We do not accept proposals or
submissions via the internet or fax. If you
would like a response, you must include a self-addressed,
stamped envelope (Thai stamps only). If you would like your
material returned, you must include a self-addressed, stamped
envelope with sufficient return postage (again you must use
Thai stamps).
Note
to authors who reside outside of Thailand: We do not accept
International Response Coupons and therefore cannot return
your material. You may, however, include your e-mail address
with your material, and we will send you a response.
You
can expect an initial response within two months of our receipt
of your proposal. At that point, if we are interested in the
project, we will ask you to send the entire manuscript.
